This notice contains important information about transacting business with us electronically.

Harley-Davidson Financial Services Canada, Inc. (“HDFS Canada”), a subsidiary of Harley-Davidson Financial Services, Inc., is required by law to provide you with certain disclosures and information. HDFS Canada will deliver these disclosures to you electronically, by displaying on the computer screen the Credit Application-Customer Statement (“Credit Application”) and, if applicable, other documents such as associated notices, disclosures, and other supporting documents (the Credit Application and these other documents collectively, the “Transaction Documents”). Some of the Transaction Documents will require your electronic signature. Your electronic signature will be your act of clicking the "Submit" button.

After you electronically sign the Transaction Documents, you may obtain printed copies of your Transaction Documents from your Harley-Davidson Dealer Representative or you may contact us to request a copy for you to retain for your records.

PRIVACY NOTICE

By checking the box below, I agree that Harley-Davidson Financial Services Canada, Inc. (“HDFS Canada”) may collect, use and disclose my personal information (including, but not limited to, my financial, credit and employment information) and share it with its affiliates, service providers and independently owned Harley-Davidson dealerships (“Dealerships”) for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy, as amended from time to time.

Without limiting the foregoing, I understand and agree that HDFS Canada, its affiliates and service providers, and the Dealerships, may collect, use and disclose the personal information that I provide in this application for the purposes of (a) identifying me; (b) assessing my current and ongoing financial, personal and professional situation (including confirming my employment and residence status); (c) making a decision about my application for credit;  (d) where permitted by applicable law, promoting, determining my eligibility for, and communicating with me in respect of other products and services they believe may be of interest to me; (e) providing customer service and communicating with me in respect of my application, including responding to my enquiries; (f) for other reasonable purposes related to managing HDFS Canada’s business, including to meet legal and regulatory requirements, protect me and HDFS Canada from fraud and error, and maintain business records; and (g) otherwise as permitted or required by applicable law.

I understand that HDFS Canada, its affiliates and service providers, may obtain information about me from third parties, including but not limited to, obtaining credit reports, consumer reports, and other personal, financial and employment information about me from credit bureaus or credit reporting agencies and/or my bank, employer, references, landlord or mortgage holder.  I authorize these sources to release this information to HDFS Canada, its affiliates and service providers for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy.

I understand and agree that some of HDFS Canada’s affiliates and service providers may be located outside of Canada where applicable foreign laws apply that may differ from Canadian laws, and which may permit governmental, law enforcement or national security authorities to have access to my personal information in certain circumstances. Without limiting the foregoing, I understand and agree that my personal information may be accessed or stored in the Provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and Saskatchewan.

I understand and agree that my personal information may be accessible to employees of HDFS Canada and its affiliates, including employees in the sales, marketing, customer service, loan origination, underwriting, funding, servicing, administration (management, compliance, risk, internal audit, accounting), and information services departments who have a need to know such information for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy.

I understand that any questions or concerns relating to HDFS Canada’s Privacy Policy, how HDFS Canada, its affiliates and service providers collect, use, disclose or store my personal information, and/or requests to obtain written information about HDFS Canada’s policies and practices relating to its affiliates and service providers outside of Canada should be directed to HDFS Canada’s Privacy Officer by emailing [email protected].

I further understand that, subject to certain exceptions under applicable laws, I may access personal information about me that is held by HDFS Canada and its affiliates, and may exercise any right I may have to review, verify, correct or update such information, by emailing  [email protected].

I acknowledge and understand that no method of transmitting or storing personal information online is completely secure, and that there are security and privacy limitations of the Internet which are beyond HDFS Canada, its affiliates and service providers’ control.  I further acknowledge that the security, integrity and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between me and HDFS Canada, its affiliates and service providers through this website, by email or by other electronic means, cannot be guaranteed, and that any such information and data may be viewed or tampered with in transit by a third party. 

You should be aware that submitting an application to HDFS Canada for a loan can impact your credit as a “hard inquiry.”

NOTICE TO APPLICANT(S)

This Credit Application will be submitted to Harley-Davidson Financial Services Canada, Inc. at 3850 Arrowhead Drive, Carson City, NV 89706, U.S.A., for consideration as to whether it meets the credit requirements of Harley-Davidson Financial Services Canada, Inc.

Vehicle insurance covering the collateral is required for the full term of the loan, at your expense, for liability and physical damage coverage for both collision and comprehensive losses to include such perils as FIRE, THEFT, and VANDALISM. Harley-Davidson Financial Services Canada, Inc. must be listed as a LOSS PAYEE AND ADDITIONAL INSURED. Verification will be provided by the applicant in the form of a certificate of insurance through an acceptable carrier with thirty (30) days notice of any intent to cancel or non-renew to be provided by the issuing carrier to the applicant and loss payee. YOU MAY CHOOSE THE PERSON THROUGH WHOM ANY INSURANCE IS OBTAINED.
